'Fila Negra' and Buenos Aires, Turrubares.Everyday life and to the household economy of Marlene Rosales changed six months ago with the help of the sun.

Since last June, this family Turrubares Fila Negra, in the province of San José, almost on the border with Puntarenas, failed to pay ¢ 3,000 per month for the candles that required for light and now only spends ¢ 1,000 for the rental of a solar panel.

"The people of ICE (Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad) came and put us on the roof panel, explained how to use it and now use it all the time. We will not download or anything, "Rosales said.

"All change is not cooking with firewood, but now nice not having to fool who has plant (electric) to help us load cell. Also, before we slept very early because there was nothing to do after dinner. Now we have TV we can watch the games from the Sele, "he added.
