There will be wind farm in the capital

August 09, 2010

Electricity to be generated wind base in San Jose, news that we expected to report since 2006, when the idea of building a wind farm in the capital

It is valuable to start the week with good news. Especially in circumstances where national events requires the press to communicate constantly others are not.
The bad news did not generate the press. This one fulfills his obligation to inform. And bad would not do it that way because most people ignore what is happening but hurt them directly or indirectly. Despite this, this medium with the weekly page entitled Upside.
But it is very helpful when what happens is given to bring good news, as in this case was announced that the country will have its first wind farm in the capital.
With it you can supply clean power to about 6000 homes, that is, you do not need oil to generate it as it is done through the use of air currents.
Before approving this project, only had five power plants based on wind operated in the province of Guanacaste.
The works will be carried out through a strategic alliance between National Power and Light and the Central American Bank for Economic Integration, in which this contributes 60% of capital and is committed to giving all of the funding, while the power company contributes 40% of the shares and agrees to purchase the Project within a period not exceeding 12 years.
The good news is that this project will allow the country to save more than 42 billion tons of carbon dioxide per year for the sake of the environment and also save considerably on production costs by not having to produce that power based on derivatives oil.
Good news we hoped to announce since 2006, when the idea of building a wind farm in the capital.
We look forward to more good news because, apart from the press, the entire population is eager to receive them. Just need to occur and that, conversely, to cease the events that require communicating bad news.
