ICE requested 24% increase in electricity rates for homes

Entity also requested 21% more in industrial sector electricity bill

The Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad (ICE) asked the Aresep 24.18% rise in birth rate for housing in 2012.

However, this increase would apply with respect to prices that prevailed in 2010, said Álvaro Barrantes, energy director of the Public Services Regulatory Authority (Aresep).
