Approved increase in electricity at CNFL and in four distributors more

Increases ranging from 1.44% to 3.62%, due to adjustments in the ICE

Five subscribers electricity distributors start paying more for electricity in the coming days. The increases range from 1.44% to 3.62%.

For the National Power and Light (CNFL), the Aresep approved an average increase of 3.07%, so that a subscriber that consumes up to 200 kilowatt hours kW / h will pay ¢ 61 ¢ 63 payable by each .

For the next 100 kW / h consumption increases by 3 ¢ each.

The Public Service Company of Heredia (ESPH) recorded the highest increase of 3.62% that is. The increases will be 2 ¢ per kilowatt / hour to 200 kW / h in additional ¢ 3.

They also increase the rates for cooperatives in Guanacaste (2.50%), Alfaro Ruiz (2.64%) and San Carlos (1.44%).

According to the Regulatory Authority for Public Services (Aresep) the increase is a result of the adjustment in rates of the Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad (ICE) for fuel approved in November and also affects the distribution.

Will become effective upon publication in La Gaceta.
