Reductions in electricity tariffs will be govern from the next week

The downgrade is due to the methodology that is based on fuel costs used for generation

Electricity rates will experience a downgrade from the other week , announced the Regulatory Authority for Public Services (Aresep).

This decrease is due to the methodology extraordinary variations in the cost of fuel used in thermal generation, which states increases in the first two quarters of the year and sales for the last two.

The fit to govern from July to September this year in service fees in the case of the Costa Rican Electricity Institute will ¢ 4 in the first 200kWh going from 92 ¢ to 88 ¢ for each additional kWh would increase from ¢ 165 to ¢ 159.

In the case of National Power and Light rate in the first 200 kWh will increase from 79 ¢ to 77 ¢ for each additional kWh rather have an increase going from ¢ 116 to ¢ 118.

Other electricity distribution companies that provide service in our country as Jasec, ESPH Coopelesca, Coopeguanacaste, Coopesantos and Coopealfaro Ruiz, also experience reductions.
